I want to install a ServoWorks CNC product on our machines and sell them to our customers. How can I protect the CNC software on the PC from being copied illegally by our customers?

Q: What is the "license" of a Soft Servo Systems product?

A: Soft Servo Systems' products require a license for each product. This license is hardware-based and would vary from computer to computer. The license is generated during the installation of the Soft Servo Systems product, by an automated product registration process that requires the user to input the PIK code (product identification key) provided with the Soft Servo Systems product.

Q: Does Soft Servo Systems re-issue licenses?

A: Yes. But obviously there are some limits to reissuing licenses. Please contact sales@softservo.com for more information.

Q: Are there discounts on sales of additional licenses?

A: Yes, pricing varies depending upon how many units are purchased. Please contact sales@softservo.com for more information.

Q: Can I copy Soft Servo Systems' software for inside use within our company?

A: No. Each copy of Soft Servo Systems' products is licensed for use on a single computer.

Q: Is OEM supply possible?

A: Yes, Soft Servo Systems sells to OEM suppliers.

Q: I want to install a ServoWorks CNC product on our machines and sell them to our customers. How can I protect the CNC software on the PC from being copied illegally by our customers?

A: Although customers can make copies of Soft Servo Systems' software products, they cannot run the products without a license. Since each license is specific to a single PC, the software is protected.
